Additional Housing Scholarship Information

The housing  scholarship is available only to full-time students attending a university in Denton, Huntsville or San Marcos, Texas. The scholarship covers the monthly rent at one of the AHF-operated student housing properties listed below:

  • Arbors of Denton (Denton, TX)
  • Arbors of Sam Houston (Huntsville, TX)
  • Westfield Apartments (San Marcos, TX)

Many universities require freshmen to live on campus their first year. Please check with your university to verify your eligibility to live off-campus if you are a new student or entering freshman.

AHF student housing communities are leased per bed space within each apartment. The housing scholarship is designed for a bed space within a two- or three-bedroom apartment. Given that AHF leases units on a per-bed basis, the scholarship recipient will be sharing the apartment with one or two roommates in accordance with availability.

The housing scholarship does not cover the following: Application fees, Admin fees, Guarantor Fees, Deposits, and utility deposits. The amount of these may vary from community to community and you should call your community for exact fees. These fees will be due upon signing your lease. The following “optional” fees are also not covered: pet rent/deposits/fees, covered parking fees and if you decline the assigned apartment floor plan and choose a different apartment floor plan you may incur additional fees.
